Resalio is a powerful app that simplifies the process of trading items. By providing price estimations as accurate as possible, and price comparisons from multiple platforms, it gives users more confidence on reselling their products especially through out the decision making process.
The app guides users to fill out their products' infos — condition, model, etc., then gathers relevant data and provides them with the best results — an average price, price history, and prices and the platforms that provide the offers. It personalizes product resale recommendations for each user based on the search history and preferences. Ultimately, Resalio aims to be a great tool for anyone looking for getting the most out of their product resales.
It’s natural that people tend to sell their pre-owned products when they decide to get new ones, which is also eco-friendly, saving resources for making when things get circulated. There are more and more platforms/business providing services around resale, giving options such as trading-in, estimating values, and market places for reselling products. But browsing around various platforms for the best deal can be time consuming and disorienting. We found a tool that helps users estimate their product values on the reselling market, sorting out price comparisons, notify them when products reach an ideal price is really in need.
Resalio is one of the projects that deepens my understanding of user-centric design — to put users’ emotion needs at forefront and to make creative decisions based on their feedbacks. Building from scratch, the project has helped me sharpen my skill of prototyping, interface & interaction design, with the tools such as Figma, which have been broadly used in the industry.
Resalio has the potential to collaborate with other business, whether it's an online second-hand resale platform, or a physical store that provides trade-in services. Besides, to have partnership with a strong data science team to improve the estimation accuracy will also help Resalio benefits users more.
